Dr. Sarah Pavon Groy grew up in Virginia Beach and is proud to be building a practice and raising her family in her hometown.
Education & Experience
Dr. Sarah Pavon Groy grew up in Virginia Beach and is proud to be building a practice and raising her family in her hometown. She attended Norfolk Academy, graduated from Cape Henry Collegiate School, and attended the College of William and Mary for her undergraduate and post-baccalaureate studies.
After completing her dental education at Temple University in 2011, she attended the University of Maryland as chief resident. There, she specialized in orthodontics and earned her Master’s degree in Oral Biology.
She’s trained in the latest orthodontic techniques, including temporary anchorage devices, laser dentistry, lingual orthodontics, and Invisalign®.

Outside the Office
Dr. Sarah and her husband, Dr. David Groy, a fellow dentist, have three beautiful children who keep them very busy at home.
They love living near the beach and can be found most weekends with their family somewhere by the water.

Dr. Sarah Pavon Groy isn’t just your orthodontist: she’s your neighbor, your cheerleader, and possibly someone you've seen chasing her kids down at a soccer field on a Saturday morning. Born and raised in Virginia Beach, she’s incredibly proud to be building a practice and raising her family right here in the community she loves.
Education & Experience
Dr. Sarah is a proud alumna of Norfolk Academy and Cape Henry Collegiate School. She then attended the College of William and Mary for her undergraduate and post-baccalaureate studies, proving that you really can come home again: especially when home is near the water.
After earning her dental degree from Temple University in 2011, Dr. Sarah took her talents to the University of Maryland, where she served as chief resident (fancy title, basically means she worked really hard), specializing in orthodontics and earning a Master’s degree in Oral Biology along the way.
She stays on the cutting edge of orthodontic care with training in advanced techniques like temporary anchorage devices, laser dentistry, lingual orthodontics, and Invisalign®, because your smile deserves nothing but the best (and the coolest technology).

Outside the Office
When Dr. Sarah’s not creating stunning smiles, she’s usually reading something, attending a concert (probably the Avett Brothers), or just being “mom,” which means stepping on Legos, making snacks at lightning speed, and trying to convince her three beautiful children to brush their teeth just one more time. Her husband, Dr. David Groy (yes, another dentist: dental dreams do come true), shares her love for the ocean and the occasional quiet moment.
The Groys are weekend regulars at the beach and on the sidelines, whether they’re playing with their pup Gracie, cheering at a lacrosse game, or chasing kids through the surf. Family, community, and good vibes are at the heart of everything Dr. Sarah does, and she can’t wait to welcome you to the practice that feels like home.
